The best of these was Alexander the Great that even today cities that he concurred and built still hold his name and military and organisational philosophy are based on his ideas.
History exists to teach you about how best to be today and what not to do tomorrow (if your willing to learn from it and not react to it).

TLD is about Developing Leaders in the community and in the world and making sure your ready be that leader or to have a group (and know your role in that group - leadership at times is knowing your not the best to lead it) that is ready to lead.
Being a leader is knowing that whatever you take on doing is a conflict with other factions (friends an foes alike) the classic teaching of "The Art Of War" are a series of concepts that when applied to life and what you want to do start your foundation of understating what leadership is.
